P is for Pizza Preparation

P is to prepare pizza dough, pizza sauce, and simple pizza toppings. There's nothing better than homemade pizza! Here's a simple way how to prepare pizza:

Dough Preparation:
2 1/2 cups flour (I used 1 cup all purpose flour, 1 cup wheat flour, and 1/2 cup whole wheat flour)
2 1/4 teaspoons dry yeast
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup warm water
1 tablespoon olive oil

To make the dough, combine flour, dry yeast, salt, water, and olive oil in a mixing bowl. Using electric mixer, knead until the dough is elastic. Place the dough in the floured surface. Cover the dough with clean towel to let it rise for about an hour, or until it double in size.

Remove and punch the dough, cut into 4 and roll into round pieces. Let rest for another 15-30 minutes. Remove the dough to work and knead in the floured surface. Place the rest of the dough in the refrigerator.

Sauce Preparation: 1 cup tomato paste, 1 large chopped tomato, 2cloves chopped garlic, 1 tablespoon chopped onion, 1 tablespoon chopped fresh basil (if using). Saute onion, garlic, and tomato. Add Italian seasoning and pepper. Add a pinch of sugar, salt, tomato paste, and a cup of hot water. Let it simmer until thicken.

In here I made Simple Fresh Tomato and Basil Pizza.Shape the dough in the baking sheet, spread the pizza sauce all over. Spread mozzarella cheese, place the fresh tomato and basil. Spread some mozzarella cheese on top. Bake in the oven for 15-20 minutes in  190 ̊C(375 ̊F).

Preparing pizza is a lot of fun! I enjoyed it!

I really enjoyed it!

Until to the last bite...

Hope you guys enjoy it too!

Hi Lani-I clicked over from Debbie's linky where I also linked my choc.chip biscotti. Saw the pizza title, and clicked over to your blog.

I use almost the same recipe and method, with 1/2 unbleached all purp. and half whole wheat.
Such incredible and delicious toppings you made, and great step-by-step directions.
I'm happy to follow your blog...stop by and check out mine, as well!
