To make crispy outside and soft inside Egg Tofu Balls, make sure that the oil temperature is not too high to ensure a good crisp without burning!
1 piece egg tofu, smashed
100g minced shrimp meat
100g minced fish meat
1 small onion, chopped
50g green peas
2 egg whites
salt and pepper to taste
cooking oil for frying
Place minced shrimp meat and fish meat into a bowl and mix well.
Add onion, egg tofu, green peas, egg white, and seasonings. Stir.
Roll tofu into balls and coat with breadcrumbs.
In a pan, heat oil and deep-fry balls until golden brown.
Remove and drain. Serve with any dipping sauce.
Suggestion for making dipping sauce:
Combine 1 tablespoon of sweet bean paste, 1 teaspoon of sugar, 2 tablespoon of water, and 1 teaspoon of sesame oil in a saucepan and bring to a boil.
