Spaghetti with Scallops

 It's too obvious that I love Italian Food :), from my posts lately! This is another simple way to prepare pasta from Guliano Gasali's Kitchen 06 Cookbook. I only adapted some ways how to cook it. Originally, the main pasta should be Linguini, and using mussels and crab meat as other ingredients. I also added celery. This is so good, I love it!

300g spaghetti (or linguini), cooked as per direction in the package
300g scallops
3 cloves garlic, chopped
1 fresh chili, chopped (optional)
2 medium tomatoes, coarsely chopped
1 celery, chopped
1 cup white wine
some parsley, chopped (dry parsley)
salt and pepper to taste
extra-virgin olive oil

In a large pan, heat the oil and saute garlic until slightly brown. Add scallops, toss with garlic. Add white wine and cook until it has evaporated. Add the chili, celery, and tomatoes, season with salt and pepper, and cook for 10 minutes. Toss spaghetti with the sauce. Add parsley and toss well.

Serve immediately.

Oooooh! I haven't had my breakfast yet and your spaghetti with scallops looks absolutely HEAVENLY!

And I LOVE that scallop heart I see right in the middle of that first shot!!! It's PERFECT for Guest Heart Thursday!

Now I'm off to make some breakfast ... but it won't be as good as this!

I do use beer on some of my pasta too. Scallops is a great mix for pastas.

oh wow, the scallops are calling my name! loveeeeee scallops, kahit wala ng pasta--baked with garlic and butter.

I have a love affair with scallops. I adore them!!!! I can't think of a better way to enjoy them than with a wonderful plate full of pasta, my other favorite!
