Weekend Food Tour: Glutinous Rice Ball Soup

February 17, ends the celebartion of Chinese New Year. Mostly people here are eating Tang Yuan 湯 圓 or Sweet Round Glutinous Rice Soup with Black/Red Beans on this day. The roundness of the glutinous rice symbolize the 15th day of Lunar New Year , the first full moon, and the family wholeness.
This is not much sweet, which is good!

Another celebration is

I've tasted this once in a food trip/walking tour in Chinatown. We're given just a couple of spoont but just the glutinous balls and sauce. I liked the taste but forgot what it's called. Now I know what to order when we visit a Chinese restaurant.

happy food trip friday!

I don't know if I have had some Glutinous Rice Ball soup before, but it reminds me of the binignit sort of food. :) It looks delicious though. Visiting via FTF.
