For a change, I'm featuring street food in Taipei once in a while. For today, Quail Egg is one of my favorites here in Night Market. The eggs are always fresh then they cook them in front of customers. There are also sauce of your choice like sweet soy sauce, salt and pepper. I prefer salt and pepper.
Here's how he made the quail eggs balls. He cracked the eggs one at a time, place them in a molder. Once the bottom of the eggs are cooked, he lifted the eggs with a stick to cook the other side.

I have never seen them cooked like that, but I love hard boiled quail eggs dipped in a little celery salt. Diane

As i read your blog title i thought it'd be similar to "kwek-kwek" not sure of the spelling but hope you know what i'm talking about. It's a Filipino street food..i think they're duck eggs w/ batter and then deep fried. But this is different. Wow!! now you have me thinking on trying a hand on this. I have an aebleskiver pan but i think they're too big so i'll have to think on what to use. Thanks for sharing this, Lani.
I love quail eggs!
