D is for Do it Yourself

D is for DIY Omusubi or Rice Wrapped in Nori

I bought  DIY Dried Seaweed (Nori) wrapper

I have here fried rice mix with salmon and egg plus greens
(I just made this up, it's not a Japanese rice with vinegar)

Put some rice in the molder (comes with the Nori)

Place the rice into the dried seaweed wrapper

Fold the wrapper in half,
tuck in the sides following the rectangular shape.

Place the sticker to the ends, and this is how it looks.
Just follow the steps to unwrap it.

Here it is, I thought it would be complicated making it,
actually, it's fun Doing it Myself :)

  8. Love your step by step... If I had seen the finished product, I wouldn't have appreciated the time and effort and love (I'm sure) went into making this delicious looking dish.
